Project Description

York University was looking to find a new way to reach high school students who were in the University application process. Alternator discovered that one of the most influential creators on YouTube, Lilly Singh, graduated from YorkU. Every week, millions watch Lilly to see where she’s coming from – we set out to show where she came from and how her time at YorkU helped create the conditions for her success in the new media landscape. We worked with Studio71 to create a program that included an on-campus vlog, a personal appearance at Red and White Day, Instagram, twitter and Facebook posts.
